Purpose

Malika is a sexual assault survivor who was forced to marry her rapist, Faizal. After her experience, she never got to live in peace as she always lives trembling in fear every time her “husband” comes back home. As a victim of the one-sided policy in Arab, she advocates her believe that no other woman should be experiencing her pain.

  • Breaking free from the accustomed belief of victim blaming that leads to shame/ low self-esteem

  • Bring awareness to the audience of the unfair laws/ treatments against women that is still happening in some part of the world (mostly Middle East)

Summary

Asha is a normal 13-year-old living the best of her life. Sadly, one night, she missed her last bus after her extra lessons at school. So, she walks back home. On her walk back home, a young man followed behind her, and she screamed for help. But no one was anywhere around, so she was raped, and nothing can be done. Unable to escape from the thoughts that hunt her, she consulted through the #metoo campaign in twitter and managed to meet Malika along the way.

Purpose

  • To see another perspective of a fellow woman (from a younger generation) fear of public labelling

  • To create another platform of narrative that can list down the voices of sexual assault victims (aside from my protagonist)

  • 'BREAKING THE SILENCE!'; to motivate more women to speak out of their concerns

CARD GAME || LAM

What?

Inspired by the card game, ‘Organ Attack’ and ‘LIFE’, this card game is aimed to create an educative approach that is fun and approachable towards women at a young adult age category. The content of the card game teaches the player of the historical background of where women has reached at this point, and how many talented women figures are out there living with courage. Through this card game, I aimed to inspire young women to get rid of the feeling that they are alone and that it is shameful for us to speak out to change the norms.

Purpose

  • To bring awareness of more patriarch/ toxic masculinity issues that has been going around

  • To not worry of the patriarchist issues because there’s still talent figures who fight for our rights

  • Give a reassuring sense that women are doing well, and we should not be ashamed of our gender nor our right to speak
